With Australia’s strong Croatian and Serbian connections this is sure to be a match full of feeling.
Serbia stunned European qualifying with a 5-0 rout of Romania, and are a strong attacking side.

But they’re no mugs defensively either. Their star player, Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic, is one of the hardest defenders going around and is itching to prove himself on the world stage.
Another quality player is Milan Jovanovic, the 28-year-old Standard Liege winger, who has nine international goals and has a reputation for being a free-kick specialist.

Serbia finished first in its first-ever qualifying campaign as an independent nation, winning their group ahead of favorites France.
Serbia’s national team was previously Yugoslavia, from 15 January 1992 until 4 February 2003, and then as the Serbia and Montenegro national football team until 3 June 2006 when Serbia declared independence as the successor state to the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.

Their attacking threat combined with a class defender in Vidic make the Serbians a potential surprise package.
